Comments on Hardbat Rubbers

lthough the stated mission of the USCTTA has always been to restore the game to its Classical Status, as defined insofar by the pimpled rubber bat covering, British Leyland, which was used by the great majority of the players of that era, it has not yet officially done so. However, in view of the ability of Alphatool to produce the Reisman Classic, a facsimile of British Leyland in respect to spin, control and touch, it is widely anticipated that standardization of hardbat coverings is now inevitable, the two most likely candidates, being the Leland and the Reisman Classic. Rumors abound that the Classical Game will be restored by the time the next Nationals gets under way.
